Nuclear reactor core!

This is the experimental nuclear reactor of the University of Technology and Economics in Budapest. The maximum power of the reactor is 100kW, with 40% effectness. The blue light is the reactor core. The reactor uses uranium dioxide as fuel.

@man11withaplan Why do you speaking about Chernobyl, if you doesn't know anything? This 50 death is a very big lie, nothing more:

"A 2006 report predicted 30000 to 60000 cancer deaths as a result of Chernobyl fallout. A Greenpeace report puts this figure at 200000 or more. A Russian publication, Chernobyl, concludes that 985000 excess cancer deaths occurred between 1986 and 2004 as a result of radioactive contamination"

In Chernobyl, there was a way different problem,they lied about the accident

@xXMagicOfIsidorXx Maybe you have some idea, how can we produce x1000 Megawatts (in our country 2000MW just the nuclear power plant), which is cheap, and perfectly safe, and it works in summer, in winter, day, and night, in sunshine or in rain. Green energy is very nice, but we can't use ONLY this.

@man11withaplan the cesium dust and other radioactive trash are active dor about 100 to 200 years, and theres a lot of those things in the soil of chernobyl, dont spect that to disapear to nowhere, only from the liquidators 25,000 of the Russian liquidators are dead and 70,000 disabled

@KaelDragon That is false, after the location of the main core exploded, there where only the radiation leekage that had to be worried about. And second, the radiation in Chernobyl by the next decade will virutally die out as it is currently. Radiation does not last forever. And I would like to see where these "massive" deaths of radiation is occuring

Why can't you realize:

Even in 3 mile island with incorrectly trained operators who DISABLED(well. not exactly... but they did make them pointless) safety protocols, even then the contamination wasn't even dangerous. I ask why cant you finally realize, that they ARE safe just because you cant understand them. I'm learning around them as someone interested, and from what I've seen china syndrome is a lie. The cake is real, and nuclear power IS safe. Relatively to other power plants...

@omegalab They PREDICT, and of course they are gong to say an exorbitant number of people died, they profit from it. Wait I forgot, Greenpeace is a completely non-biased, 100% reputable , never manipulative of the facts, organization. Wake the hell up dude. You can't go around slinging numbers like "nearly on million" people dieing, because frankly, it it preposterous. Where exactly were all those people and what was their methodology behind determining who's cancer was and wasn't caused by it.
