It had a speaker but the sound was limited to beep noises. I once loaded a spoken sentence into the memory - it took all the available memory of the machine and lasted may be 3 seconds - and the quality was terrible.

That brings back some memories! Amazing achievement in 1983, and it got me hooked into simulation games.

Did the ZX spectrum have audio? I know my Sinclair 2068 did.

i used to land all the time on my speccy, funny thing tho i never used the ils or understood many of the flight instruments, and i was only 8 or nine.. mind u i do remember been up late, having repeat go's till i beat it
