  • @TheFriendlyEngineer It is you that has no idea what you are talking about. Most drugs -- phrama and herbal -- are metabolised by the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. A small proportion of the population (in the order of 1 in 20,0000) are born with certain genetic polymorphisms related to this enzyme family that render them poor metabolizers of a wide range of drugs (including herbs). Clinical trials usually have n=5000 so they will not detect these poor metabolisers.

  • @TheFriendlyEngineer "You guys promote false conspiracies and misleading data." Who is "you guys"? In your paranoid little world anyone that disagrees with your foaming at the mouth denunciations of conventional medicine is a "shill", a co-conspirator. I can cite you a pile of papers that document cases of liver failure due to herbal preparations but you will just retort that they are all fake.

  • @TheFriendlyEngineer You are clearly unhinged: you exhibit paranoia and you seem to believe that you can read my mind. None of what I have posted is from either Quackwatch or Wikipedia. If you know how to use PubMed you can retrieve adverse reaction reports, toxicology reports and papers on drug induced liver failure that cover both prescription drugs and herbal preparations. Any medicinal preparation whether pharmaceutical or herbal has the potential to poison someone.

  • @TheFriendlyEngineer "ssri's have caused over 55000 deaths within 7 years from heart failures, suicides, strokes" Provide the source for your data. More people have benefitted from Accutane than have suffered severe adverse reactions. There are adverse reactions and even fatalities (most often from liver failure) as a result of herbal preparations too (eg. Comfrey, Kava, Germander). So what? Does this mean that the herbal industry is evil and criminal.

  • @PiotrThePrimate You apparently have no clue what you are talking about and prefer to protect the criminal and fraudulent activity in that industry, that makes you a con artist.Read the lawsuits pal, stop wasting your time on asanine sites like wikipedia and quackwatch aka scam artist stephen barrett who lost over 42 lawsuits and never had facts but biased opinions about everything alternative. You guys promote false conspiracies and misleading data.Don't get me started on psychiatry quackery!

  • @PiotrThePrimate listen you nutcase, you apparently are arrogant to the fact that ssri's have caused over 55000 deaths within 7 years from heart failures, suicides, strokes.Accutane is also linked to gastrointestinal complications such as the IBD or Inflamatory Bowel Disease, Crohn’s Disease and the Ulcerative Colitis. There are also indicated incidences of drastic surgical treatment as a result of the Accutane treatment you shill.Hoffman La Roche was sued over 25 million for fraud.

  • @PiotrThePrimate correction: enemas

  • @TheFriendlyEngineer Have you been sniffing petrol? You come across as a brain dead, paranoid fruit loop. Many people with cystic acne have benefitted from Accutane. When all else has failed Accutane often works and the risks are prefereable to being pock marked for the rest of your life. You may have had a bad response to Accutane but that in and of itself demonstrates nothing.

  • @TheFriendlyEngineer So all clinical trials are fraudulent and a cabal of hook-nosed Jews control the global financial system. You are a nutcase. Yeah SSRIs are so dangerous aren't they? How many people have died from SSRIs?

  • @TheFriendlyEngineer You are a paranoid jerk. I have no conection with the pharmaceutical industry. More people _do_ consume pharmaceutical preparations than herbal preparations. "Drugs do more harm than good" is just another one of your insane generalisations.
