Dude, you don't need to use twixtor for motion blur. Sony vegas does it well too if you speed up something. I recently started recording CoD4 PC clips using 0.0833 timescale (12x slowmo), and then speeding it up in sony vegas. Sped up 4x with CTRL + drag, and 3x with velocity envelope. 4x3 = 12, so it's perfect. To get the motion blur effect, I left resampling ON, and the more frames there are, the smoother the motion blur looks. It does take long to render, but still faster than twixtor in AE.

I don't like the look of frame blended motion blur unless it has like 32 samples or something and getting that framerate (768fps) in most cases is impossible and would take longer to record than it would to render a lower fps video with twixtor. Skate 3's slowest is 10% (300fps) and this video was recorded at 20%.
Usually a 30fps video to 24fps+motion blur with twixtor looks decent and having a higher fps video will make it look better but it isn't necessary like for frame blending.

@anothermartz Motion blur from frame blending (resampling) is more visible, though. Twixtor or ReelSmart isn't that visible, but it doesn't have the "ghosting" effect as resampling does. But the higher the framerate is, the better resampling works. I use 360 FPS (30 FPS at 12x slow mo, 0.0833 timescale) in CoD4, and the motion blur looks jaw dropping. Only when there are really fast movements, it doesn't look that good. It does take a while to render, obviously.

@Sniffy92
Your 12x videos look better than I thought they would but still I don't usually record at such a high framerate as I did here. Twixtor works well with 96, 48 and even 30fps so I don't have to use really big framerates to add motion blur but I still can as an option.
I've experimented with frame blending in the past as well as reelsmart motion blur, a combination of the two and various twixtor framerates and settings and I just prefer using twixtor with my current settings.

I went away for a week without apparrently telling anyone (I thought I did) and they made me a funeral, you can find it by searching "anothermartz fun" (as it's titled "fun-eral").
