When Randy and Steve from Gearbox were in Australia last week, showing off Duke Nukem Forever, they spent an evening hanging out in the Mana Bar in Brisbane, answering gamers' questions and revealing a little bit more about the game. Although the quality might not be great, this four-part footage is straight from the camera to the internets and is well worth a watch (or at least a listen!). http://www.gamepron.com
And less than a year later, the game comes out and its a major disappointment. Awww...

I'd hope he had the bloody mindedness to stick to his guns, cos he had a point. Turns out he was actually asked to write a script of Duke Nukem a while back, but it was never used. The developers couldn't move past the idea as Duke, The Massive Hero, as opposed to Duke, Relic of Another Era, When We Still Thought Sonic the Hedgehog was Cool.

The barmaid started rocking from foot to foot, agitated that he kept talking so much when she knew she could be selling drinks and making income for the bar. Polite clapping at the end.

I don't know too much about game development, but I like that they had a small team.
