Pink Anderson & Simmie Dooley
Recordingdate : Saturday 14 April 1928, Colombia Records, Co 14400-D, Atlanta Ga
Note : This recording is taken from an collection album "Times Ain't Like They Used To Be", but to my knowledge it's the original recording.
This duet recorded only two records in 1928.
Pink Anderson recorded after 1943 and as a curiosity, he played also with Rev. Gary Davis.

@busessuck1 Yes, Floyd Jones is the one I was thinking - and I thought it about a half-hour before I got your post! I was sure it was a more ordinary name - I'm sure I would've remembered Council. There are loads of Floyds. But I could've heard the wrong info myself. If you read it in a book/bio then it's prob'ly Council. Cheers. Steve.

@slideharp1 I remember hearing it on a documentary a few years back and its in a book i got called "cruise through the blues" I know there are at least two blues musicians with the name of floyd though, the other one is called floyd jones and it could be him you were thinkin of

@busessuck1 Ok, I just googled it (don't know why I didn't before - it was buggin me) .....and it says 'Council' - I'm still not sure, as a few on the site I landed on were speculative..Did you know already, or did you google? I saw your channel BTW and you have great taste.

@busessuck1 I don't wish to argue, but it's not 'Council'. I saw it a couple of days ago and now I've forgotten it again!, BUT I will find out and get back to you. It's Possible you are right - but I don't think you are(!).
