yes...you did make a point but one fatal flaw....you say you are not ignorant or the stereotype but the way you said it was ignorant....you even used an ignorant term to describe yourself....in general you told the truth but also proved the stereotype

@schoolgirlmellie she's trying to show how we hold ourselves back due to what was embedded in us throughout history. black people stay intellectually oppressed because in their minds, subconsciously, intellect or the want to get a higher education is a "white trait". so speaking properly takes away from your "blackness". while on the other hand speaking improperly means you can't be smart. it is all generalizations. just my opinion.

coldest thing i ever heard , i just wrote a poem about a black statistic the other day . i feel her .
@KeeCoop1209 it has everything to do with the fact that we as black women are stereo typed and that if you listen to country music instead of hip hop your not black enough or if you don't wear Jordan's and Rocawear your not dressed right she said that a 4.0 does mean your four shades lighter means breaking stereotypical roles I was giving examples but my main point was that we as black women break all molds and just be yourself

This Poem was not meant to portray black vs white but ignorance vs intelligence if you pay attention she imitates a typical or should I say a stereotype of a african American girl which means that it was not meant to be directed solely to caucasians. It was a good poem.
