This documentary was first screened October 1, 2006 at the City Hall in the Hague, during the symposium on the Right to Self-Determination in International Law.

I am viet and really feel very sorry for all those things that we did to Khmer ppl. It is definitely wrong. We should remember that we were treated the same way by the chinese, the french, the american and now by our own ppl under the influence of communism. I really hope that one day both countries can coexist in peace and harmony. We should not impose on Khmer ppl our own culture, we should respect their independance, we must not do things to others which we dont want others to do to ourselves

no. The late 1600s saw the first wave of migration due to civil war of Vietnamese people. They were not majority. The mass migration attempt to control Khmer resource didn't even end long ago. Mass migrations were made in the 60s and 70s of the Northern people to displace our Khmer people that is why we lost so many farmland. These resource we lost not over 200 or 300 years ago but in just several decades of robbing.
