Part 3 of 5. The Guards exchange greetings by presenting arms while the SAF Band plays the SAF Salute. New guard Sgt deploys the sentries with a quick briefing for all to hear. The Sgt then brings the 2 old & 1 new sentries past the main gate & turn right. The 4 men will reappear in part 5 clip. The two 2LTs then marched in unison for "Officers of the day".

  • Are these cerimonoial troops or real soldiers who fight as well.

Any way they do it just like we british do our COG well done god job! XD

  • These soldiers are posted to SAF Military Police Command. Their main task is to maintain law & order plus discipline within military camps. The MPs/RPs also have battlefield exercises to hone their combat skills.

  • There is no COG ceremony in July & August.

  • Sgt tells his sentries: Your tour of duty is 2 hrs, while on duty you are not allowed to eat, drink or sleep. As for the 2 officers, cannot make out what they say to each other. Probably we are ready to handover duty by the outgoing 2lt. LOL stuff: wats taking u so long? the other replied traffic jam mah, march all the way from Orchard Rd, u know?

  • @kkquek99 Officers Say:

Old Guard: I post my Sentries 3 by day and none by night, Sir!

    New Guard: Well said, Sir!

I used to do this ceremony... a long time ago... =)

  • 哇,真的很严肃,不是闹着玩的哦!里边都有他的一门学问。

  • nope, these young men are Singaporean National Service (Full-time) posted to SAF Military Police Command. Gurkha Contingent comes under Singapore Police Force with Cowboy hat & stern face. You can see them at high profile meetings like the recent Apec2009, World Bank/IMF, WTO Ministerial Meetings.

  • are these guys gurkhas im a singaporean but i oso dunno

  • the drills looks as tired as ever. Guess the sucky training just got worst made everything spiral downwards..

  • These are ceremonial guards. There are 2 sentries on the left. Another 2 are inside. The real men on security duty are the Auxiliary Police from Certis Cisco.

  • who's on duty while they change guard !?
