As the post-election protests rage in Tehran, the Iranian capital, another power struggle is under way in the revered city of Qom.

It is the home of Iran's most powerful clerics who have the power to remove Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme leader, who has backed re-elected President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

But as Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports, some ayatollahs say the election was a sham and sympathise with the opposition.
