  • Thanks for posting this very well made video! Would be of great if you could post more of these high-budget videos about Athens like about the construction done for the 2004 Olynpics, the subway system, other museums, the shipping industry, etc.

  • Done!

  • For England these marbles seem only money from tourists but for us (Greeks) are our flat, our history...

We want our marbles in our new museum...!

  • The marbles belong to the new Acropolis museum, the marbles belong to humanity!

Fortunately, now, over than 3 millions people per year will realize by their eyes the barbarism of this silly ambassador, Elgin.

  • It's time for the Parthenon sculptures to return back home. REUNITE THEM! BRING THEM BACK!

  • If you visit this museum, you will immediately understand why the marbles MUST come back. When you walk on the last floor, following the flow of the sculptures (if you don't fall into a trance) you can just turn your head on the opposite direction and what you will see is the actual Parthenon through the huge windows, nothing disturbing your line of sight. Then you realize that the room you're standing in has the same configuration as the Parthenon. Columns, walls, everything. Beat this, BM!

  • @MrAugustus88 beacause we live in minimalistic times... the 21st century

  • I was living there when the museum was built. How I miss Athens : (

  • shame a modern piece of crap, why could they not contruct a classic building ?

  • @chickenruler in reality the overall condition of the frieze was much worse after Elgin's intervention, there were two pieces still standing there by the time of Elgin's visit as we are informed from the diaries of explorers and that Elgin's crew destroying during the process of removal from the parthenon site.

Plus the very important piece of the mature rider that the master-sculptor Pheidias is believed to have carved was critically damaged.

In London the artifacts were abused no doubt

  • @grieg99

No , my friend..you don't have right...England uses greek marbles to attract tourists...and make money...but for us...bringing our marbles back to Greece is something romantic, something that makes us to be proud of our ancestors' achievements...something that causes shivering to us...I don't know..if you can feel us but it's a matter of PRIDE for our caltural heritage...

  • @eirhnaki21 in england you don't pay to visit them. what about greece? not the same for sure; that is in favour of humanity to enjoy that treasure that are property of ENTIRE humanity not of greece nor british

  • @chickenrule you didnt it find it... you stole it and thats the only recognition you get
