Proper flossing removes plaque and food particles in areas where your toothbrush cannot easily reach such as under the gumline and between your teeth. Flossing prevents plaque build-up which can lead to tooth decay and gum disease.

  • @Citizen6935 -ran out of space, Part B-with the tools you use that one little piece of thread for the whole mouth, is that a problem or an acceptable tradeoff if the old-fashioned way is a pain in the butt and that is why so many people don't floss even though they know they should and then they avoid the dentist until they are in pain...

  • Do you have an opinion on those things at the grocery store to make flossing easier? I've tried several different things but I now wonder about the following. When you teach the traditional way with a long piece of thread (which many find to be awkward to next to impossible) you are moving along the thread after each space to start with a clean section...but with the products that I bought because they give better access you only have that little piece of thread in the tool and you use that
