Proper flossing removes plaque and food particles in areas where your toothbrush cannot easily reach such as under the gumline and between your teeth. Flossing prevents plaque build-up which can lead to tooth decay and gum disease.
@Citizen6935 -ran out of space, Part B-with the tools you use that one little piece of thread for the whole mouth, is that a problem or an acceptable tradeoff if the old-fashioned way is a pain in the butt and that is why so many people don't floss even though they know they should and then they avoid the dentist until they are in pain...
Do you have an opinion on those things at the grocery store to make flossing easier? I've tried several different things but I now wonder about the following. When you teach the traditional way with a long piece of thread (which many find to be awkward to next to impossible) you are moving along the thread after each space to start with a clean section...but with the products that I bought because they give better access you only have that little piece of thread in the tool and you use that
It hurts :(
