  • Cheers fierfox121. Always loved the heavy barrel 22.250's and I have owned two in the past. Thought I'd see how a light sporter at such a low price will turn out. Will be handloading to see how tight the Stevens will group (before barrel heats up). Scope and rifle won't get here until late next week but will keep you updated. Cheers mate!

  • @oncall21 Very cool my friend. Cant wait to hear how it turns out. If you have anymore questions or anything like that dont hesitate to ask!

    Cheers

  • Thanks fierfox121. I paid for the Stevens 200 in 22.250 today along with a set of rings and mounts and a cheap Bushnell Banner 6-18 x 50 scope. Should arrive here in a week. Will have a play with ti once it arrives and try and get that trigger pull down. Will post the results! :-)

  • @oncall21 Very cool man! Keep me updated and if you make a video feel free to link a video to one of my stevens videos!

  • What has been the best groups you've been able to achieve with this rifle (be it factory ammo or handloads)? I'm thinking of buying one tomorrow. Many thanks!

  • @oncall21 about 1MOA Usually a little wider. The rifle is built on a good action but the stock is a little to flimsy and will press on the barrel when i have it on the bench. Bedding the stock would help dramatically.

  • @NzPaintballBrad i agree have a stevens 200 chambered in 300 win mag. and can print on average .50-to .60 and that is with the factory stock no fancy bedding,as far as 2.5 inch groups maybe this guy cant shoot.

  • could i use this for deer at about 200 yards? thanks

  • @NzPaintballBrad I agree! Much of the inaccuracy is, unfortunately, me. Once the weather is better i will try and get a final video now that it is broken in and im more accustom to the rifle.

  • 2 1/2 inches at 100 yards is crap (no offence) if you bed the rifle and stabilize the stock, loctite your the screws on your rings you will be getting about say... 0.50-0.75 inches or MOA at 100 yards
