Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters talk after their exhibition match (GDF Suez Diamond Games) at the Antwerp Sportpaleis on 9 december 2010. What a great evening for Belgian tennis!!! Translation into English below :

Carl: I'll begin with Justine. Justine, it looked you needed some time to get in the match.

Justine: Yeah, it seems I'm a real diesel so.. No, it's not easy to come here after a long time out and play points like this on a high level like Kim. I needed some time to adjust and get used to the court. But its was special. I'm glad my elbow was okay tonight. It was just one step but I'm very happy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the welcoming here. It was amazing. Thank you.

Carl: So your elbow was pain free?

Justine: Yes, I'm not yet in my best shape but I've come from far. It was simply a present today to play here and just hit a ball, not exactly the way I would like it but it's already a lot, because one moment I thought it was over for me. I'm really lucky to play again.

Carl: Kim, you started really great..

Kim: Yeah, I was really motivated and I don't like to train a lot so I was looking forward to playing a official match. It's fun and it's always a bonus to play against such a good player, and of course here in Belgium. Expecially since it didn't work out a couple of months ago in Brussels, I'm happy to get the chance to play against each other here tonight, at this moment in our careers.

Carl: She suffered from her elbow, and you from your foot. Is that totally over?

Kim: I don't feel a thing anymore. Nothing at all. That's completely history.

Carl: What did you think of Justine?

Kim: Justine is a top player who has a lot of talent and a lot of nice strokes. I really enjoy to watch her play tennis, unless she's standing across me on the court of course. No, she's a very beautiful player. At the begin of the match she was struggling a bit to get into the game but she took control of it quickly and her second set was a lot better. Yeah, 2011 is going to be a fun year.

Carl: Did you understand her? She's expecting a lot of you in the next season. What are your main goals?

Justine: Ah, I think to play the maximum, a lot more than this year, because for a comeback it wasn't easy. I hope we're going to play at lot against each other next year, that would be a good sign. And then just to stay healthy and to keep enjoying this. And for both of us to represent Belgium across the whole world. That would be fantastic.

Carl: Thank you very much, ladies.

  • where is translating? Why isn't Henin speaking Dutch?or why isn't kim speaking french? It's weird this about two languages.

  • @tennisboy2612

The translation to English is under the "description", under the video. Lol, this is Belgium.. Its almost 50/50 Dutch/French, and a little bit of German. I'm sure Clijsters can speak French and Henin probably understands Dutch (maybe not speak it) but the crowd was mixed too so it was normal for us that they spoke in their own languages..

  • @SuperMusiclife1 most of all, single handed backhand. shame she retired.

  • I prefer Justine- she's a more unique player, and was a smarter individual.

    Hi,

Kim speaks Dutch, although, she can speak French, she's not fluent and vice-versa!
