"Political correctness doesn't work in design," says Richard Seymour, cofounder and director of Seymourpowell, the UK-based design and innovation firm. "Are the genders equal?" Seymour asks. "Yes, they are. Are they the same? No, they are not. We are fundamentally, biologically, anatomically different. We think in a different way. We are wired in a different way. And that doesn't mean that one is better than the other. It means that if you don't recognize that from a design perspective, you're going to produce really crap products." Seymour says designers should celebrate and design for the differences. "And we should let the differences stimulate our thinking," he adds.
