This is the trailer for an incredibly moving and wonderful film, starring Sheila Florance and directed by Paul Cox.

Thanks to a very special friend, I have been able to enjoy this film and Sheila's performance is spell-binding.

I suppose a lot of people know Sheila as "Lizzie Birdsworth", but that was only one character - here she plays Martha, a dying lady and there are so many parallels that can be drawn with this character and Sheila in real life, especially with her passing not long after this film was completed.

The industry lost a legend when Sheila passed on, but this film, superbly directed (and co-written) by Paul Cox helps to ensure that her memory lives on.....

  • Bless you Sheila.

  • By explanation, a few of Sheila's Prisoner co-stars and friends were in KATB, namely Val Lehman, Colette Mann and Gerard Maguire.

  • I also wish this was released on to DVD, it was shown in the UK on TV around the early nineties and I was too young to remember what was really going on..I loved the late, great Sheila Florance..I know Sheila wasn't in this film but I wish they would release Kitty and the Bagman on DVD it is supposed to be a really good film.

  • One of my favorite films ever! I love Paul Cox's sensitive, intelligent and humane approach. Wonderful Sheila Florance!

  • One of my favorites also. It is a sin such a unique film isn't on DVD.

  • I agree this is an outstanding film... one of my faves. It sure would be nice if they released it on dvd... fingers crossed.

  • One of my favorite movies. Too bad (for me) it is only on VHS.

  • Nice to see this trailer. Think I might have to go and find this film! Sheila was a legend x x
