YOU ARE REALLY IGNORANT AND YOU TALK TO MUCH ! YOU CAN'T COMPARE CHINESE ILLEGAL FAKE GIBSONS LP...I ORDERED ONE TO COMPARE AND I CAN TELL YOU THEY ARE CRAP!! MADE OF VERY POOR AND LIGHT WOOD! NOTHING TO COMPARE WITH THE MAHOGANY USED BY GIBSON ON THEIR GUITARS...THE PRICE'S DIFFERENCE IS FIRSTLY DUE TO THE WOOD,MASSIVE MAHOGANY OR CHAMBERED IT DOESNT MATTER...CHINA USES PLYWOOD AND FOR THE PICKUPS AND ELECTRONIC STUFF IT 'S WORST: THEY PUT SOME "FAKE EPIPHONE PICKUPS",REAL SHIT !!

@KingofPho75 well I did say that a lot of electrical modding is needed to improve the sound; such as wiring and pick ups if u can. Before I did both those things my Epi sounded like the guy's one in the video you mention, i;e ok, but muddy. When I changed the harness, and put in a Seymour Duncan it was brighter, clearer, more chime, more like a Gibson.I'd love to own a Gibson again, but the 2,500 price difference is not worth it.Modding a cheapy will get u a decent tone for relatively liitle cash.

@4Rogues go and watch rob chappers "play like slash under $1000" and listen to the difference between the epi and the gibson and trust me if you can't hear the difference then i don't know what to say to you.

Saying the chinese junk is nearly as good as Gibson is just saying that Gibson quality is so bad it could be compared to the chinese only Gibson overcharges on everything. I wouldn't be caught playing a chinese guitar for anything but that's a personal reason. Everything from china is crap and our country should be ashamed that there is no industry in the US anymore due to greedy CEOs who have all their goods made by workers that get paid nothing and it shows in the quality. Cheers

@TheXXXDB would agree with you. If you mean Epiphone LPs, (top end ones, not bolt ons) the only noticeable difference is the electrics, which in Epis are pretty shoddy and let them down, but that can be remedied for 30 quid (new quality pots and caps,a bit vintage braided wire from any guitar spares dealer) and basic soldering skills. I've had vintage Gibsons, inlcuding 60s and 70s models, and the Epi Honeyburst i have now sounds (and plays) every bit as good after a few electrical mods.

@brundontfreeze000 fuck this country it has never done anything but take advantage of others...dont even get me started this country has a long history of screwing everyone that stand in there way...if a 1000 years pass this country could not wash the blood on it hands from invadeing others for oil to killing its leaders...so go hang yourself...clown...

@TheXXXDB so, you rather support foreign economy than your own home economy? Yes, I understand you want to save money and buy cheaper but the whole point of "buying american" is to support your country's economy.
