Colin Newman has said that his favorite cover of Wire's work is NBT's take of "Mr Suit". Here it is presented in all of its crowd-pleasing glory.

  • there's a goldcoast ballroom in columbus oh? or is this florida? where was this show as far as a city/state??? bragging rights: i have been to every new bomb turks show when they passed through my neck of the woods from 1992 to 2002, sometimes 2 nights in a row! that is 10 years plus a few extra shows in the couple of years before.

  • @americandiscocrash The reason the title says "Las Vegas Shakedown" is because it was in Las Vegas. I didn't post a location because I felt as though this was fairly self-explanatory.

  • My husband and I were standing right in front of Matt ( i think I see him still there in this vid!) I was up in front until this song came on and the floor started to flex big time. I decided although it would be poetic, I didn't want to die at a NBT show so i moved to the back of the room.

hands down, one of the top three shows in my life

  • @vanillablue77 Thank you for your kind words. I love these guys & this is one of my favorite shows ever also.

  • A rare thing, a good cover of a Wire song

    Good upload

  • This is what I'm talkin' about, my Facebook friends... for this shall be linked for all of ye to see and enjoy. The NBT cover WIRE with the Vegas Shakedown crowd -- who KNOW both versions because they have limitlessly awesome taste! I missed this Shakedown, but got to the 2001 version, where The Short Fuses, "Demons", Briefs, DMZ, King Bros, Throwrag and Sons of Hercules played. Easily one of the best experiences ever. Rock on, kids!

  • Totally killed all the energy in this song! Horrible!

  • i'm pissed they're playing gonerfest and i ain't gonna be there.

  • my crappy band covers this initially not knowing it was a wire song we just thought it was a fucking great new bomb turks song. my english friend clued me in.
