nice video
but according to a comment (it says 2 years ago) you said that there are exporters (my need is for maya) but all i found in the program directory is 'egg importer' that works to import in maya not to export
can some one help me with this?

I never used the Maya exporter, so I can't help you, sorry :(.
But I am pretty sure you can find all the information about it in the panda3d manual or the panda3d forums in the panda3d website. Good Luck!

awesome, downloading source code thing now, i have some character models for my rez 2... can i edit the character models inn this or are they stuck as they where when you did this video?

Hello... well as you may know, the models are in .egg format... unfotunately i don't have the original files for them... but you can import the egg models in your favorite model package if you want to... those are just simple shapes from 3DS MAx though, nothing special :P
Have fun with the source code... there is a project called IOverFlow, which was meant to be a rez clone.. I gave this code to that project.. but I have had little time to even look at it.. you may want to contact them...

is there a way to convert .x to .egg? or max/chr/3ds to .egg etc?
spyke4995 2 years ago
You can convert from .x t .egg with a special program found wihtin the engine (xtoegg.exe i believe)... and there is also an exporter from 3dsmax to .egg... you can find both by downloading the engine at the official site panda 3d . org
