  • ci fossero regia e scene così d'atmosfera oggi saremmo felici di andare all'opera!

  • El movimiento escénico es bastante acartonado , típico de la época XD

  • Impresionante puesta en escena. Muy bien Jones, Prevedi y Glossop

  • BRAVO BRAVISSIMO billyguns2!!! that's it!!!! enough said! BRAVO AGAIN!!!!

  • sure I'm joking. I have nothing against Prevedi, but I prefer baritones and blond men! ;-)

  • I know you are joking, but I find Prevedi (Manrico) handsome, too, and a FABULOUS dramatic tenor! He is underestimated in my opinion. Of course Glossop is an excellent baritone and handsome, too.

  • Still looking for a recording. Try Arkiv.

Great singing. Too bad Domingo and Pavarotti

made so many recordings. Other deserving tenors were overlooked.

    Tx 4 posting.

  • What I would give to hear singing and conducting such as this once more on the operatic stage! This is a glotious reminder of how fabulous things were in the world of opera, a time when any great conductor knew how to conduct opera and when singers knew how to sing with style, nuance, and real dramatic involvement.

  • This is actually the final scene of the second act, but anyway, exceptional singing, especially by Dame Gwyneth Jones. Could you post more excerpts from this performance, please? For example Leonora's first-act-aria and Leonora's duet with the Conte??

  • only a question for Leonora: with such a Count, how can you prefer Manrico?! Wonderful Peter Glossop, real Verdi-baritone!
