Cox died Tuesday night in a Dartmouth, N.S., hospital.
Born in Britain, Cox immigrated to Canada and in 1974 was
appointed Halifax's town crier, quickly establishing himself as one of the most recognizable faces in the city and province. He was the first full-time professional town crier in North America.
