Are you one of the millions of iPhone 3G or 3Gs users who love your little iDevice but hate its anemic battery life? Would you trade some of the size and weight of the world's most popular smart phone for double or triple the run time?

If so, then you need to watch this episode of 'gadget' because we take a look at the Mophie Juice Pack Air -- an external battery for the iPhone 3G/3Gs that might be the cure for your power-loss woes.

  • I will it get over heating problem ?

  • enyceckk101,

It has over-temp circuity that stops charging the battery if it goes over a certain temp. It WILL get warm and it can even get HOT sometimes, but that's usually if I'm charging BOTH the internal and external battery AND running a CPU intensive task at the same time.

  • nice vid. If I had enough money to pay for the iPhone plan for AT&T's terrible service, I would definitely get this too.

Way to keep doing reviews on interesting things! It makes me feel less of a geek...

  • RockYoWorld,

I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from. If the office wasn't paying for my iPhone, there's no way I would pay ATT the $80+/month (and I've got the minimalist plan) that they demand.

  • which cell phone company has a cheaper plan? you say at&t is 80 a month for phone and internet service, so tell us where we can get that service cheaper.

  • johnmonk66,

    I had a $79/month plan from T-Mobile that included unlimited voice/text/data. I gave it up for a $79.month plan from ATT that had 450/voice, 200/text, 5GB data.

    Peace,

    Fr. Robert

  • Would This work with an Ipod touch?

  • Great review but I don't understand why people need to use their phones for 3 hours in a row, remember it's just a cell phone. I only turn on 3G/Wi-Fi when I need it so I don't need to charge very often and I think it charges pretty fast too.

  • not this very device. the iPhone and iPod Touch have different dimensions. there's probably one for it too tho.

  • @gadgettts it's the Fluke shirt that makes you look thinner :-)
