I believe a man can love 2, 3, 4, 5 women more than he can love one woman. I agree AND I believe a woman can love 2, 3, 4, 5 men more than she can love one. One person cannot fill all of another's needs. You mormon men with 2, 3, 4, 5 wives are getting your needs met but what about the needs of the wives. How can you refuse your wives as much fulfillment & happiness as you enjoy.

@farranspointon The reason why the Mormons practiced plural marriage was not to gratify the men's lusts, this is just how the world sees it. It was to bring up righteous children in a loving family, and to obey the commandment that they had from God to have more than one wife. Most of the early church leaders did not want to do this & detested the idea at first. But it was the same thing practiced by many of the ancient prophets & patriarchs in the Bible according to the law.

@DonQuijote it was practiced by the prophets and they PAYED for this mistake, some of there kids were not righteous and they had to rediscover God. Moreover why did God make Adam just one wife and why did God choose Sarah for Abraham's decedents? Jacob was fooled by the pagan uncle to take 2 wives.

@rojulian4 God never condemned Abraham's taking another wife. God told him "In thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws." Also the 12 tribes of Israel came from Jacob's 4 wives. Moses, Gideon & others also had more than 1 wife. If polygamy were a sin, why did God choose his prophets among polygamists? And why in all of Christ's teachings in the new testament does he not condemn it?
