This is supposed to be a cute little song, but Gedda sings it like a bull in a china shop. He should have chosen another encore.

I don't think so. This isn't a song of a poor little chimney-sweep, complaining his fate. It's about the chimney-sweep, who is completely happy with himself and the world, advertizing his trade.
