Palm Pre vs iPhone 2 Charging (I'm a Mac style)

This was really stupid.

Seeing as how the iPhone dock is contact-on-contact, it isn't on the same "plane" as the magnetic induction principle. The contacts sometimes become dirty, or wear. You can put the pre on in any orientation, and it charges. Plus the touchstone charging is faster in comparison with using the usb method. With the magnet, you can still have your phone in a case or protective pouch, and the electricity still gets through. Cover your contact port, and let me know how your phone is in the morning!

it says 3:01 talk about electronic glitches

inductive charging is a great idea, i have a sony ericsson phone which is in good shape aside from the busted charging port...this would be really handy once this tech goes mainstream..

I saythe iPhone is better

NICE! contract ended months ago and pondering between Pre and Droid, both look like they kick my iPhone 3G's ass and about as good as HTC!!!

Gosh, what a storm of hate. The thing is I'm actually a great fan of all things Palm and have never owned or used any Apple stuff, including the iPhone.
I own dozens of Palm PDA's and will be getting a Pre as soon as I can get hold of a SIM unlocked GSM one here in the UK.
Macfag? Hardly.
Poking gentle fun at the Pre? Yes.
Watch the fifth video in this series for the Pre's retaliation.

This looks very pro apple hahah.... i have iphone 3G and HTC touch pro... my iphone was hyped up by their store, not what i thought it was. my HTC was hyped up by everyone and is exactly what i thought it was. And I was gullible. but Pre looks like an upgrade from touch pro.... if only it was out for verizon since my sprint and at&t don't qualify for upgrades...
one thing I have to say. Working at a cell phone place that fixed cell phones one of the most common issues were charging ports. People would be to abusive or careless and quite often break the ports. A wireless charger would greatly help this.

Thank you for the comment. I hadn't considered this reason before, but you're right. On a couple of Palm devices that I own, the charging port has died over time. I guess there finally is a good reason to use an induction charger.

You're right, but I never noticed that. I just used a stock image that I stole from the internet. Hmm... most curious. Good eyes!
