I'd find it hard to forgive someone if someone did to me what James did to Snape. I find it hard to believe James didn't know about what Sirius did with Snape that almost killed him. It's not fair that he takes it out on Harry, but Harry is the spitting image on James, so I kind of understand.

@MadameSabana I think he also acted like that to Harry cuz it was so important to his role. He had to seem faithful to the Dark Lord and it was probably best to act like he hated Harry. Poor Snape, it probably hurt to see his love and tormentor mushed into one person, lol.

I get the feeling these comments were made by people who haven't read the books & have not yet seen all the films. Snape had more than enough reason to hate & resent everyone - from the old Marauders, Harry & his friends & even Albus, although he remained loyal to Albus despite being used by him.
