  • You know I usually really dig your videos TB, but you didn't do this game any justice at all. You missed the basic concept of the ENTIRE GAME, which is NOT to shoot everything, but rather to time huge combos and points by combining selective timing with the bombs, and the slow mo at the same time.

    If you actually sit down and play this game, you'll discover over a short span of time, that it's more like E3(Every Extra Extend) then GeoWars.

  • These games are all about increasing your skill in survival and points accumulation. Add too much "extra stuff" and the game just becomes overloaded and bogged down. They should all be kept simple, though that's no excuse for stale design. Personally, I really like Waves. But then, I really like shooters in general.

  • @AaronMacDerp Trust me, he knows what he's talking about .

  • I play only the demo and my high score is about 800 000 :D

  • @TheWaste0Time Its a first impressions for a reason!

  • Is that GLADOS talking in the background

  • @Tearlow I KNOW HIM :D

  • A few notes on actual mechanics;

    Bombs last only as long you maintain your score multiplier.

    The groups of static cells can hold the most points; shoot your way into the centre and let off a bomb. The point-blank 2x multiplier scores tons. Thus, you should allow very large groups of cells to build up before destroying them, for combos.

    The white "1x" pads add 1 to your total score multiplier (not temporary). One appears every time you level up. Run over it as soon as possible to apply it.

  • I'd suggest a re-review after playing the full game and spending some time with it. You learn quickly that bombs expire shortly after you gain them, you go for big combos as opposed to killing everything asap, etc.

    It sounded a lot like you were frustrated with the game and didn't exactly treat it fairly. You said you were going to review it with both the WSAD and the twin sticks control scheme, yet didn't comment on how either of them played? The demo's lacking, review the full version fairly.

  • P.S.-

    You get a larger multiplyer for shooting enemies that are closer then ones from a distance, and that is why you can't make sense of your score difference.
