14 divers on a lifelong dream to glide with spanned winged mantas from the Indian Ocean.
The quest led them to liveaboard ASMAS 1 to dive the bluewaters of Maldives during its south west monsoon where the yearly phenomenon of tidal waves resulting from the south western currents pushes up the rich plankton and attracts the congregation of supposedly 100s pf mantas for a feeding frenzy.
Hanifaru Bay at the northern atolls was the target destination but our group didnt find optimum conditions there.
But we found magical moments one Friday morning of 40 mins at Manta Point, MALE.
Enjoy our footage and share in our happiness experienced during this dive....
Life is simple, Life is great.
Our blueplanet is beautiful~
