@compactVotive I don't think the Amiga music "sounds better" at all, unless you really love bad MIDI. Picq obviously composed the music for the PC FM synth, to exploit all its idiosyncrasies, which it does better than any game I've heard.

Actually, the PC Version has some of the best music I've heard on the Adlib FM card. BAR NONE. The Amiga version did indeed sound better, but the songs weren't as heavy with emotion, and there were only three songs in the entire game!

Overall, the best version in every aspect was the PC version.

I completed this game, the Sega CD was the best version and strangely enough was the cheapest game on the system for me. £4.99 or something, I only bought it to bump up my order for free delivery. When u first play it you seem to run out of spice for the emperor quickly and later on it can get hard if you cant find the sietches

Actually Amiga version had the best music. PC-CD had the best graphics. But Amiga music made up for it. Amiga CDTV version did not come. So only disk version for Amiga.

i've to say that this game sucks. when i downloded the game i expected that it'd be just a good port of genious dune 2, but with smooth graphic, new units and missions, and nice audio tracks. shit.

I had a sega cd,sewer shark,night trap..Bram Stokers Dracula..Dune..Lunar..really loved that system..and I was wondering if anyone ever managed to beat this game? I found it uber hard.

Dune is one of the best games ever. The music is brilliant. Dune I & Dune II; just great. I also liked a lot KGB, of the same kind:

this version of dune inspired me to read the whole series as a kid. Far better then the C&C clone games that game out later.

for some reason Dune is still the only strategy game i can stand to play.. even though there is no speed-up function, multi-player, and worst of all... no selecting multiple troops.. you have to click them one by one..
