Is the Law really against Grace? For the past 1800 years most of us have been taught that the Old Testament was all about Law and the New Testament is all about Love. We might have even been led to believe that those of the OT were saved by works and today we are saved by grace...That it is either Law or Love. This teaching dispels the idea that Jesus or the bible pits one against the other, but rather that the two are actually one. You will see that the God of yesterday still defines love the same way that He does today...through obedience to His Word.

@thecoolchipys...I'm just guessing here, but I had just read the first 15 chapters of Exodus this morning and I remember reading after the Exodus, when God instituted the Passover, it says in Ex 12:47-49 "All the congregation shall keep it (Passover). 48 And when a stranger dwells with you and wants to keep the Passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and let them come near and keep it; (continued in next comment)

I love Jesus. He saved me from my own ways of trying to "get on His good side". I now have His law written on my heart and His strength empowers my faith to good works. I am not saved by these works. It is in response to my love for Jesus. I want to show Him how much I love Him. When I fail (sin), instead of sacrificing an animal to atone for my failings (sin), I admit I am a law breaker and repent (turn away) of the lawlessness. I stand on the finished work of Christ! His Love covers Us.

As I read the scriptures, I see the scripture speaks of just one law that we are under and which was not done away with ...and that is the "righteous" law along with its moral obligations to God under love. On the other hand, the scriptures speak of the pharasees who took the righteous law and made it legalistic, overly keeping it ademently!

@peteliuz79 my pastor has touched on this idea...God's law is infinitely wise and for our benefit..recent studies are proving a Biblical diet is the healthiest..just an example of truth coming to light

Mat 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, because they shall be filled.
Mat 6:33 “But seek first the reign of Elohim, and His righteousness, and all these matters shall be added to you.
