Siskins are small, delicately marked finches which form flocks in winter. Flocks of up to 40 have been in Roslin Glen in the past few weeks. Three female siskins and one male visited my garden this morning. The females came to my feeders. They are attracted by nyjer seed and thistle seed. I bought a metal feeder because squirrels had destroyed my last two plastic ones! The feeder had been up for over a month before the birds discovered it. Once they find a food source the news spreads!
nice footage neil!
