6233 Duchess of Sutherland on the fourth leg of the Great Britain tour which ran from Penzance to Thurso, seen taking the train over Shap and Beattock before handing over to 60009 at Glasgow.
I uploaded this last year, but there were issues with the aspect ratio of the video, so here's how it should have looked.

Brilliant video. Cold air works superb with the smoke. Well done.

Wonderful.
Please explain the absence of a diesel at the rear - as often seen in other cases with steam traction.

Excellent footage Linesider. Yes who needs those high speed hightech but soulless trains of today. I very much like how the steam exhaust clings to the hill/cutting sides when 6233 passes by and in particular how 6233 and her train 'dwarf' the traffic on the adjacent motorway, both in appearance and speed. Great stuff!!

You're welcome - thanks for such nice words. I went on a Pendolino the other week and indeed felt sick haha.

Thanks Bob and sorry for the excessively slow reply! A very memorable day was this, and I agree - whilst the sun didn't shine, 6233 did :-). It's funny, that last scene you'd think I was stood in the wilds completely alone, but in truth, there must have been 50-60 people behind me. Very well behaved and quiet I must say!

Very nice 5 stars.did you have to do some fast driving to get a head of the train or did you have any to help & film at the other locations? Very nicely done.Cheers

Thanks very much. The train stopped at Carlisle, Beattock Summit (unscheduled) and Abington loop, so I managed to get round it with some nifty driving thankfully.
