Lone Senator Halts Jobs Bill

A piece of legislation meant to extend certain benefits and subsidies was single-handedly stopped by Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ken.) who opposed the bill's $10 billion price tag. Nancy Cordes reports.

Bunning needs to lose his job. Vote him out Kentucky. I believe he has become more and more senile over the past six years. I liked Bunning but he has become very mean spirited over the past few years.

Lunch period takes away 1/2 an hour to what is already a long 8 hour work day. I don't think its impossible for the Federal Government to pass a bill that require employers to give at least a 30 minute paid lunch for their employees.

Theworldisyourz09 is one of those people that think what Obama is doing is helping people. He reads the title of the bill and then just assumes that's what's in it.

If they named a bill, "Huge super awesome bill that gives candy to kids!" then he would think that's what the bill did. It could have no candy in the bill, and involve spreading your nuts out on a metal folding chair and hitting them with a claw hammer, and he would be all for it because of the title.

You must mean the Bush tax cuts...

That's being cut, and it didn't just give tax cuts to the rich, it lowered the tax bracket for everyone. It also cut capital gains taxes. Federal revenue from income taxes increased yearly for the next 6 years after those cuts.

So when your taxes increase by 3% on your income and they DOUBLE on your retirement accounts (401K's, etc.) I don't want to hear any whining.

Why don't you STOPANDTHINKFIRST. Take food off the table of the poor and give more to the fat cats. Rich people are mostly business owners. Once the RICH have all the money, who will be left to buy your products?
