@schpoogie if my memory serves me correct, the cylon colony was in the vicinity of a black hole. The meteors and gravity would have destroyed it. the nukes would have pushed it into the path of the meteors

First time I saw this, I teared up when Tigh said, "She broke her back... she'll never jump again."
I don't know why, but it made me sad to think of the Galactica as essentially on her death bed. It's just a ship, how did I come to love it so much?

Racetrack was (IMO), the cutest of the female cast, and I was heartbroken when she joined the mutiny. However, all was redeemed when she died and got to nuke the colony. Sad, but somehow felt right.
