  • That's good advice. This was the first time I ever did this. And have not done it since. I think I would only use this method as a last resort. With your experience I'm sure it's not a big deal. However when I did it it was nerve-racking my blood pressure was through the roof. Every time I heard the pipe crack my thought for sure it was going to blow. and could you imagine the mess I would have on my hands and the damage it would do. this is definitely not for the amateur or fainthearted.

  • I have done freezes all the way up to 18" pipes for over 6 years now. For anyone who does use these kits, be sure to freeze away from any solder joints, if joints have water inside them they will crack. Also when freezing in two places ensure you have a way to drain any hydrostatic pressure off between the two.

  • how do you do it with the liquid n2 and stryofoam?

  • hey mate would of cost you about $5 for liquid N2 and $2 for the two styrofoam boxes and $3 for the sealent if you had of just went for the old school way lol.....and you could of still used braiser plumbing lol ...yep you failed....

  • thanks dear for the video..it is very helpful.

I Muneeb Siddiqui an Instrumentation Engineer works in Dubai. We have been doing pipe freezing from past 2 years..we have done it for the line size of 2-16".. and the kit which we use is made by us in our workshop..

  • Only the little female plumber from WV would set and watch 9 and 1/2 minutes of this type of video. I believe I need to be more like a girl. I was curious about how it worked and I've always just dealt with house plumbing. You've taught me something. Hope you're doing good Vince. Remember, you're welcome down anytime to visit.

  • nice video, I bought a rothenburger freeze kit which looks identecal to yours but havnt used it yet, I was surprised to hear that you used a full bottle of Co2 for a freeze, seems inefficient to me,

  • great stuff dude, thanks for posting this video, very informative, highly appreciated...
