If you can't thank God for the gifts he bestows on humans after hearing this, then perhaps you never will, for on display here in a matter of seconds are some of His own attributes: explosive power, grace, control and completeness. As Lou's reaction at the end, so our's: Wow!

With the deepest respect to Miss Boyle, I cannot believe that I find myself reading conversation around the comparison of Susan Boyle and Miss Fleming. Unbelievable!!!
Renee you have an amazing voice and you fill me with joy. I simply cannot wait to see and hear you again.

@etreduardo That's just his style. For which he is legendary.
-
I love her voice, it's like champagne and velvet!

I'll take Susan Boyle's version anytime. I feel the song should be be in the slow, mellow version that Susan did. Lou Reed does not sing he recites the song. And Renee Fleming despite her great voice is quite theatrical and operatic lMO. Definitely not suitable for a slow tempo song like a Perfect Day.

Why does it always seem that Lou Reed is out of tune when he sings! It is SOOOO strange! It seems like he can't sing...
-
@Raaona For you to say Renee Fleming can't sing is almost warrant enough for you to be slapped. Don't make comments if you don't know what you're talking about.

This is such a great performance by two such disparate voices, both rich and heartfelt. One only has to look at the face of Madeline Albright to see how beautiful this is.

Yes, it is. It's unusual combination of two remarkable voices.
