Mo' gear in a sack........
Keep in mind this particular load is for this particular trip!!!!
The basics are the same but other gear sometimes has to take a bench......
Respect to Billy Bob Thornton and the wonderful cast of "Sling Blade".
My crude attempts at Karl are an homage to my favorite movie. Being him for a bit gives me a good feeling. H-m-m-m-r-mph.....
Sometime a clown has to go dark.

Kelsey Long on fiddle and me on mandolin on the Bill Monroe composition "My Last Days On Earth"
I goes good with Karl I reckon.

Thankee for viewing my efforts.
Shug

  • the best with watching shugs vids is thats karl is always there,

  • @primitiveskillsful I reckon he is.....unhh-hunnn

  • I've seen every video, some twice and not only laughted my ass off but also learned quite alot. Were doing a winter camp next week and the supposed temperature is -20 to -25 in canada, I know I'm nutts. May not have nuts after that, anyways I'm a new kid on the youtube channel and just wanted to say I appreciate all your video's and I'm a fan. P.S any tips you have for my trip let me know. thanks.

  • @theneedtosurvive Glad that they are helping out.

Manage your water well. I sleep with a hard Nalgene bottle with very hot water in it and then put all that in a gallon baggie well sealed. Helps keep you warm and you have water that isn't frozen in the morn. I like it for "breakfast from the hammock".

Eat well right before sleep so your system is metabolizing and working. A hot cocoa hits the spot well before slumber. Walk around, do camp chores to warm up a bit before sleep. Carry Forth.
