Unless you or your spouse have relatives there, that's going to be difficult. The longest you can stay in the country without diplomatic status or citizenship is 3 months on a business visa, or 3 weeks on a tourist visa. Breaking the immigration laws results in exile, jail, or both. I looked it up a few months ago because I was thinking of putting a third house in the Ryuukyuu islands. I think if the company "owns" the house, it should be fine. Some people become citizens other ways.
