A quirky, funny video that underlines how important speech recognition (Dragon Medical) has been to the Military's roll-out of AHLTA (their EHR system).

Speech recognition has seen a tremendous growth alongside the EHR wave. So many doctors are afraid of the keyboard, are afraid of losing the patient's unique story (narrative) and speech recognition lets them speak their notes.

  • sooooo true and very funny!

"I'd rather shake up a Scrabble box and throw the letters up on a screen!" I'm stealing that!

  • I do coding training and believe me-there is 1-2 docs like this in every practice (that cares about RVUs). Everyone wants the dragon tho. LOL

  • Is that an older version of Dr. Walker?

  • Very nice. I know that doctor.

Seriously though, most providers aren't worried about RVUs, it's the business staff that chase them...

  • Very nice. I know that doctor.

  • This is too funny Ron!!!
