  • When you send a input to it by moving the stick you tell it at what rate to move the tail. When you let go of the stick it will have integrated your input and calculated a new desired yaw angle that it will try to hold.

  • hi starting out with a blade cp not much luck and alot of crashes do you think i should get a gyro.

  • You could but if you don't have someone to help you set it up properly it is not of much help. Take it real easy and maybe get a copy of FMS or some other simulator. I never crashed when learned how to hover and fly slow. I'm to poor to buy parts... I only crash when flying. I think that is hard to avoid. With training gear and patience you should not crash when learning to hover.

  • hi yu may be able to help me, i seee u r using ur own transmitter. well i just got a skyartec wasp v1, ive got a futaba 6exa transmitter, the heli runs on pcm mode wat chrystals do i need and will my transmitter work as i dont have the skyartec transmitter, hope you can help out , thanks for your time.

  • Sorry, I know nothing about the Skyartec. I doubt it run PCM. I never seen that on a RTF heli. (except the new 2.4GHz stuff). I don't use the E-flite receiver either. There is a BERG 7P in it. It did work with the original radio but I ended up selling the old TX, RX, gyro on eBay.

  • thanks for the quick reply. will it still have the headlock effect without it plugged in or will it just be a normal rate gyro? thanks again.

  • Don't remember if you can run it in rate mode but I know for sure it runs in HH mode. Hook it up and try. Compare witht he vid

  • very informative video thank you....

  • Thanks, awesome video! Scale models in Phoenix are defaulted with a rate gyro, and I was trying to figure out why they fly so differently. The only comment I have on your video is....freakin' awesome old school Futaba FC-28 radio you got there! :D

  • This is a very good video about HH vs rate gyro. Only way to demo it safely with an ETRM unit.

  • This video is a few years old but it's exactly what I needed to understand. THANKS.

  • Very informative video... Only now i understand what HH and yaw rate is. Thanks

  • nice

  • Your vid helped me alot!

I finally fully understand the difference between hh and rate.

Now if you only could make a vid showing the parts of the head and tell us what the names are of each part.I.e: swashplate/mainshaft/spindle?

  • i see, very helpful. But how would you change your heading with a HH gyro if you actually wanted to without it trying to return to where it was? How does it know its a new heading to hold?

  • the best video ive seen in a long time, thanks alot, very informative
