New for 2008 the Cathedrals Express will be running to three of our magnificent cities, all with the one train! Departing London Kings Cross station around 10.30 we head north via the East Coast Main Line calling at Stevenage (11.05) before turning eastwards to Cambridge arriving around 12.00. After taking on water for our locomotive we continue on to Ely (12.45) and across the picturesque Norfolk countryside to arrive in Norwich at 13.55hrs.
Our return leaves Norwich around 18.00 collecting passengers from Ely at 19.15 and Cambridge at 19.30. After taking water on the return we call again at Stevenage (20.30) and London Kings Cross at 21.10.

@hstclass43 I wish that were true. Mallard has not been steamed up, let alone run on the mainline since 1988. Mallard would need a total rebuild including a brand new boiler, before you could even set a fire in the firebox.
Don't forget, a steam loco is a VERY dangerous thing if the boiler is not in 100% top condition, and a boiler safety certificate doesn't last very long, maybe 10 years or a bit less..... BIG money is a huge under statement.
