On April 8, 2010, the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library board proposed closing as many as six branches around the city to help eliminate a budget deficit. Many of these branches serve underprivileged communities in Indianapolis.
An intense public outcry erupted with the news of closings. Library goers across the city have petitioned to keep their libraries open.
Stop Look Listen brings neighborhood associations, concerned citizens, and business groups together to find alternatives to solve the deficit crisis.
