On the southern end of The Las Vegas Strip, a 50-foot Statute of Liberty identifies the New York New York Hotel and Casino. One of the premier Las Vegas resorts, the New York New York has gone as far as to recreate the Big Apple skyline with 12 landmark skyscrapers scaled down to house the hotel's rooms, suites and recreation facilities. The hotel caters to all types of travelers: both families with children and thrill-seeking adults will enjoy all the entertainment and action a Las Vegas vacation is known for.
Guests enter the hotel via a replica of the Brooklyn Bridge, and then stroll down a reproduction of a cobblestone street in Greenwich Village, complete with graffiti sprayed tenement buildings. The Art Deco lobby recalls the glory of Manhattan's boom times, while the arcade has a playful Coney Island theme. Sleek urban style is evident in the decor of all the guest rooms and Las Vegas suites, whether in a Park Avenue Deluxe or a Broadway Deluxe. Like the city itself, rooms and suites are unique and diverse, from deco carved woodwork in one room, to grand overstuffed furnishings in another. En suite baths have well-lit vanities and shower/tub combinations, while the Spa Suites have clover shaped spa tubs in the bedrooms, perhaps to invite in a bit of good luck.
Guests of New York New York Hotel and Casino can enjoy the same varied range of cuisine as they would in the city for which its named. Chinese is served at Chin Chin Café, Italian is on the menu at Il Fornaio and Irish food and drinks are available at Nine Fine Irishmen. Gonzalez Y Gonzales has outdoor courtyard dining, ideal for enjoying the Tex-Mex menu. America and Gallaghers Steakhouse serve wholesome and hearty U.S. fare, and for those who dont want to miss the big game, the ESPN Zone restaurant has 165 TVs broadcasting national and international sporting events.
For a quick sightseeing tour of New York New York, guests of all ages hop on The Roller Coaster for an exhilarating loop of the entire Las Vegas hotel complex in under five minutes, complete with drops, twists and turns. Nightlife reigns supreme with dancing at the Rok Vegas nightclub and sipping fine draught ale at Pour 24. At Coyote Ugly, the girls are known for their artistic pouring and on-the-bar dancing, while Zumanity, The Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil combines signature acrobatics with burlesque. Set in a mock Central Park, the 84,000-square-foot casino has gaming tables, race and sports betting and over 1800 slot machines.
The outdoor pool area is complete with hot tubs, cabanas, and poolside drink service. Hair and beauty services are offered at the Regis Signature Salon, and The Spa has a full menu of body treatments and massages, as well as men and womens wet spas and relaxation rooms. For some Las Vegas shopping, guests can stroll the boutiques of SoHo Village.
@vampiretwi Good choice! I stayed there in November and I think it's the best hotel in Las Vegas with the coolest casino/lobby (all that stuff they put on the ground floor in the Vegas hotels). IL Fornaio and Nine Fine Irishmen are great restaurants, but Gallagher's is over-priced.
