The Story of Umi: Cincinnati Museum Center Aquires a Mummy

In conjunction with our newest exhibit, "Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science", Cincinnati Museum Center has acquired a mummy from the Cincinnati Art Museum. We have named him Umi. This video chronicles Umi's journey from the Cincinnati Art Museum, to University Hospital where a CT scan was performed to tell us more about him. Umi, along with the new information that was discovered from the research, will be featured in the exhibit. And after the exhibit closes, Umi will remain in Museum Center's collections.
