Our arrival in Venice, a city unlike any other in the world, and a visit to the Scuola San Rocco and Frari Church. We also enjoy a meal on Campo Santa Margherita, and views of the Grand Canal from the Accademia Bridge. Then we see the Rialto Bridge just before taking a train to Padua, Italy to see Giotto's absolutely brilliant Scrovegni Chapel.
We arrive back in Venice in time to enjoy its magical atmosphere after dark.

I think they were mostly tourists, but that's just a guess. From what I've heard, the local population of Venice is dwindling every year. There were 174,000 people living in Venice back in 1951. Under 60,000 now.
