When They Shine

In late September I officially lost my job (I knew it was coming, but that didn't make it any easier). I'm not going to pretend that I haven't had some rough times since then but -- even in my darkest moments -- my girls helped me get through the Fall and Winter. We celebrated holidays, marked milestones (lost teeth, expanding vocabulary) and enjoyed the "ordinariness" of every day. As I was looking through photos of my girls taken in the last 6 months, I decided I wanted to create a video to communicate how grateful I am to my children for helping me get through this rough patch and for bringing their shining spirits into my life.

I pray you will find another job soon. What field were you working in? It is so much easier to be strong for your kids than for oneself. As long as you all have your health and each other (that is most important) it will work out.
