you should get a lawyer and sue the police department for FORCING you to drive Illegally, the money you spent on the bus ticket, and damages to your life, due to the fact that you can't drive. You would win, especially if they have NO reason to take your license.

the driver's license is most likely a case of mistaken id. Someone somewhere did a typo and this was the result. I dont know but that would be my best guess.

@Iamweekend Before my court date, California told me I needed to clear my name in New York. I called New York and they said, "Send back your old NY plates." I said "I lost my plates". They said "Fax us a note." I did that and then they lifted the ban and CA gave me a new license.
I went to court. The judge saw that my record was clean and asked me if I had solved the original problem. I said yes an she said, fine you can go. Then I had to pay like $25. That's what you have to pay when you win.
