Travis is not even on the same level as Portnoy and others and to include him on any kindof best drummer list is outrage. @TheDragondrummer1 Just because I said I'm not a drummer doesn't mean I don't know anything about drumming. I do know that Travis is creative, fast, and his fills are pretty impressive. He also has a distinctive drumming style. I've listened to Mike Portnoy and several other drummers that have been mentioned as "OMG THE BEST EVAR" on this video. They're good, but so is Travis. That's what I've been trying to get across ever since I uploaded this video. Your argument is not news to anyone.

Hey Kenny2k08....are you a drummer? Must not be, because any drummer knows that Travis holds his stick incorrectly and has nowhere near the correct technique. Just because someone has been doing something since being a kid doesn't mean they are doing it right. @TheDragondrummer1 No I'm not a drummer but I have friends who play the drums and give Travis credibility for his style. So what if Travis isn't holding them "the correct way"? The way he holds his sticks has obviously been working for him, so who gives a shit? And I disagree with what you said about blink getting famous from "writing catchy tunes". Before Travis, their style was way different and they weren't as popular. Travis joined and the band's style changed and their fame rose greatly.

What's wrong with you? No one said he's the best drummer in the world. Don't compare him to metal drummers because he's in a punk band. His solos are pretty good. He's a great drummer and what the fuck would you know about how to play or hold thesticks properly? He can drum a good fucking hundred times better than you with the so called "wrong hold". So fuck off. Just cause he doesn't use extensive fills doesn't mean he sucks.

True, he does have a huge drum set, but he also uses a much smaller kit for his side project Liquid Tension Experiment. I guarantee that if Portnoy was given a drum set the size of Barkers, he would do much more with it, instead of the same roll over and over and then go into a hip hop beat then back into the same roll. Not to sound sarcastic, but if you listen and watch, he does basically the same thing over and over in all of his videos. Not too groundbreaking there.

dude travis is good you cant even compare portnoy and travis there two different styles, of course portnoy is one of the best even tho no one compares to the god neil peart but still travis is amazing for his style
