In terms of Bob, I agree with the fact that PCs are actually starting to become useless. I don't even own a PC anymore mainly for the fact that most of my work is needed on the go or taken with me to a class. Now where I agree with you, is the fact that PC gaming isn't dead by any means because of things like Steam and the ability to upgrade.
However the ability to simply put in a game disc and start playing compared to having to wait for installation(s) is a huge deal breaker for me.

I decided to quit all console gaming for the PC several months ago. I have never been happier with the games. Steam has provided amazing deals and games over the past few months and my library has grown to over 80 games. PC gaming has been making a series comeback over consoles.

Bob makes a good point about the future of the PC however what's he's missing is STORAGE what's going to happen is we, as a people, will move away from desktops and start using servers to store all of our information, now that may be in the cloud or at home (many of us will keep it at home). Then using a series of wirless and wired devices we are going to access that storage. Boxes are going to stick around because to play the games we are going to need gigs of room which the cloud can't give.

I owe it to PC gaming, the first thing I did for gaming was touch a keyboard and hold a mouse, that pretty much explains my allegiance. But I have a shitty laptop that can still run Source good, but my Xbox is there for when I want to play Skyrim, which my PC struggles to do, so I reckon it goes both ways, in the other hand I fully respect Alex and his opinion, pity to those who disagree.

Thank you Alex and I don't have to reply to BOB's video, instead I can just post a link to this and say "what this guy says"

TES 5:Skyrim on Ultra High settings = $800
TES 7:Blah on High settings = $800 PC you got when Skyrim came out
TES 7:Blah on Ultra high settings = $800 PC you god + $100 on newer graphics card :/
TEs 8: Blah Blah on Ultra High settings = New $900 PC
Time in which all this happened = 5-10 Years...
New console = every 2-4 years for about $500+ each :/

PCs are the masters to the consoles... Without the PC the consoles would not live...
Anyway my only real complaint are that the controlls lack the right "feeling" and the precision that the mouse and keyboard offers me. Some might be able to use the controlls with precision but i find it very awkward.
Second is that the games are designed to run maxed on the consoles and not the PCs which brakes the evolution of the next-generation gaming.

I'm actually quite surprised by this response; I know almost no one now that has a proper gaming pc, seems like they all switched to old skool consoles for ease of access!
I hope it's not this case in the actual bigger picture, owning a personal kumpewter shows depth of initiative & an enthusiast relationship with proper gaming!
Regardless of how popular those old consoles get I'll stick out the enthusiast persona :D
So I need like 4 different devices to do what I can do with only 1 PC? No thanks.
What I like about the PC is that I can play games AND surf the net AND make youtube videos AND listen to music AND use open office AND etc ALL IN THE SAME MACHINE. It's cheaper than buying a Console + Tablet + Cellphone + Laptop + etc

I totally agree with "The Big Picture". Now if you excuse me, I'll be playing some Starcraft 2 on me xbox... *sigh*
