Taken just shortly after the rigid hull boat dropped off the three persons who entered the icy water while moving the angled aid to navigation buoy. They were taken back their CG ship. I missed the actual sinking, but the white boat can be seen mostly submerged in the chuck. Some how the large white dory took on water while positioning the green buoy.

  • Large white dory? angled aid to navigation? Coast guard doesn't have such things

  • If you look again at the video by Novabus9228.. You can see the Dory manuvering around the Sir Wilfrid Laurier. It was involved in the placement of the aid to navigation. The aid is angled as it's attached to to the partially submerged dory. The crew was rescued quickly and taken back to the Sir WL.

    All were in regulation PFD's.

  • Man is sucks that youtube won't offer my vids in high quality any more. Very frustrating!!

  • What date was this recorded on?

I recorded a video of this ship in Nanaimo at around 3:20pm on Feb 24, 2009 in the same area.
